Coober Pedy - 7/09/22

Our last day at Coober Pedy and who should rock up, The Billy’s! They have spent the past week checking at Ayres Rock, Kings Canyon etc, we weren’t expecting to see them again until we were around the Eyre Peninsular so it was a pleasant surprise.

Having already looked around ourselves we showed them a few ‘must see’ places close to town. A couple of Opal shops, the Serbian Church, the Lookout at the Big Winch and Crocodile Harry’s.

The weather decided to get very windy with lots of dust getting blown about, so after going to John’s Pizza shop for dinner, it was up to the lookout for some stormy sunset photos and then hunkered down in the van with the wind rocking us around.

We hitch up tomorrow and continue our way South.
