Cape York done and dusted, and plenty of dust there was. Overall I was not impressed with the trip to the tip, the PDR was a boring corrugated dusty road with very little eye attraction. We did like Weipa and Seisia and in particular the 3 Island Tour, the entertainment at Bramwell Station was good, the meal average. The Tip was ‘form an orderly queue’ with 40 - 50 others to get the photo, Am I glad I went? Yes Would I go again, No, but never say never.

A very nice Billabong beside us, we didn't spot any crocodiles here but we didn't bother going for a swim |
Coming down we called into Cooktown for two nights and then down to the Lions Den Hotel for a night where we left the vans and drove down to Daintree via the Bloomfield road. It was a fun interesting drive with more rainforest than we saw on the entire Cape trip. With very steep gradients and lots of twists and turns we were happy we took the advice of others and left the vans. Vickie spotted a large Saltwater Crocodile in the water on the way down and we stopped to see if it was still around later in the day which it was, it was a decent size. Upon getting back to the Lions Den we had a very nice Pizza for tea.
