Tasmania Part 6 - Fingal - Swansea

After leaving Campbell Town our next night was just up the road at Fingal. Not much in this town, an IGA and an Op Shop, many other shops have closed but it was good that the town still catered for travellers and their was a free camp tucked down a side street behind the public toilets. There was even power and water for those needing it. Vickie spent a few dollars at the IGA but other than that and a walk around town we chilled out around the van.

The next day, Friday we headed for Swansea to visit friends Elizabeth and Anne, up until a year or so ago they lived not far from us in Safety Bay, but they decided on a change and found a stunning location in Tasmania and built a lovely home over looking the ocean. We were very impressed with what they had done in just twelve months.

The view from their balcony.

The four of us on 'their' beach, beautiful location.

We stayed two nights, and had a great time chatting away, the 2nd night we had a fire in their massive steel pit,

On Saturday we visited a local farmers market and after Vickie and I went for a drive to Coles Bay, we had been there on our last trip but thought we would see if the small town had changed, it hadn't. For the amount of visitors that come here during the tourist season there are not many Cafes or restaurants, we counted a fish & chip shop, a pub and a small cafe selling wood fired pizzas. We choose the pizza and it was very nice.

We left the girls on Sunday, but will call back in again before we leave Tassie.
