Cape York 24th July 2018
Heading up the PDR to the Cape we stopped at a scenic Lookout. Very disappointed to see the amount of rubbish that’s been thrown down into the bush. The mentality of some grubs never ceases to amaze me.

Rocky Creek Memorial Park - 21st July 2018
A night at the Rocky Creek Memorial Park. Walking around all the granite monuments and plaques was certainly thought provoking and bought the emotions to the fore. Plenty of travellers using the park, close to Atherton for a drive in and shop. We were very pleasantly surprised to have Michael and Sue (Smick) BT friends who now live at Lake Tinnaroo pay us a visit, and also meet Kip and Michelle also BT owners parked near us.
Plus Richmond kicked the Saints butt so a good night was had. 😁

Babinda Boulders - 19th July 2019
Babinda Boulders, it rained most of the day but still very pleasant. The free camp gets very busy and pays to get here early to catch the spots others leave. Nice walk along the river, just a fabulous place. It's the third time i have stayed here, first time for Dave and Jo,I didn't see any Casowary this time but the Bush Stone Curlews were around, if you weren't lucky enough to see them as we were you would certainly have heard their shrieks during the night

Bowen - 11th July 2018
Spent the last two nights at a great farm stay GlenErin south of Bowen. Lyn the owner has a lovely 700 acre property with a mixture of Mango tree’s, cattle and crop. The area around the homestead is lovely green grass and tall shade trees, water, power, toilets & showers and dump point. A resident Roo and lots of birds, we caught up with the washing and a few maintenance jobs on the van. Happy hour each day at 5pm was nice to chat with other travellers and taste some of Lyn’s damper which was top notch. The property is up for sale at around $1.8m and Lyn will throw in the BoatAvan which looked like a great thing to travel the roads and water ways

Telstra Tower - 6th July 2018
We free camp wherever we can preferring the peace and quiet to structured van parking. Some great camps can be found alongside telecommunication towers. Here we stayed last night and enjoyed a wonderful starry night, great sunset and sunrise. This afternoon we crossed the border at Queensland and presently camped at Camooweal alongside the river.
